Getting over my dead dog. Please help?
So today i walked outside and i found my little dachshund dog lying dead at the top of my driveway. He was lying their with a circle of blood around him. I went ballistic crying thinking of what happen. I prayed to God that this all never happen. But it had already happened. Turns out that he might of got clipped by a car. My family and I are in a lot of suffering because we got this dog last Christmas so it was almost a year. I feel very sick and disturbed from the sight of his death. Anyone have a tips about how we can overcome this loss and try to have a nice Holiday season.
We have an electric fence but he did not have the electric collar on.

I’m very sorry you lost a love one just before the holidays. It’s a hard lesson for pet owners who choose to let the dogs run loose and unfortunately the dog pays the ultimate price. Go to your local animal shelter and make a donation in your dogs name.

My puppy is 4 moths old and he is very sick. His only brother died because of the same thing. I left for a business trip and left the dog‘s with one of my neighbors and when I came back one of them was sick throwing up didn’t want to eat and was just laying down moaning. So I tried to rush it to the vet but, sadly he didn’t make it. He pooped blood in my car and when I got him to the damn vet he was gone. Now my other puppy is showing the same signs what is the cause please help hurry!!!!!!!!!!

My puppy had the same signs, turns out she had parvo and sadly she didnt make it. You need to rush your dog to an emergency vet if you can or to a vet in general before its too late. She/he needs immediate medical attention

Lisa asks…
How do I keep my dog on my property?
I have a two year old male border collie who won’t stay on my property. I live on a ten acers along a two lane main county road in a pretty rural area. My dog, who is otherwise pretty obedient, will not respect any of my property lines or the road. I am sick of hearing my neighbors call me up to tell me where my dog is. That and I am afraid that he will get shot for bothering neighbors livestock or nailed by a car on the road.
Like I said, he is otherwise pretty good. He will sit, stay, come, leave it, go to bed (kennel), etc. About the only basic command he doesn’t get yet is lay down. But i just cannot seem to teach him boundrys.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This dog was not created to be tied up constantly. I have plenty of room for him to play. But I guess he wants more. I don’t know. So if you have advice/experience, please share.
Thanks

Try fencing him in to a specified area.
Honestly, this is the type of shizz you take care of before getting a dog! Who knew a dog will roam given the oppurtunity!

Ok, people, I need help with a dog issue?
It is my father’s dog. He passed away 2 months ago. I love the dog, but it is outside dog…never inside. I have no room. Yard not large enough. Can’t get him in a car for ride to vet, never rode in a car but twice. I need help. I don’t want him put to sleep as he is not sick….I am 50 miles away. No rescue will take him, no shelter….PLEASE HELP!!! EMAIL ME AT prashworth@gmail. com…….time is not on my side!

Bauser answers:
Does this dog have aggression issues or something that is preventing rescues from taking him? In not, be sure to explain the circumstances. I’m with a rescue, and if someone has very legit reasons like a death or foreclosure that can be proven we are more likely to except the animal vs. Someone who just got tired of it. Did you offer to make donations to the rescues? If there is no aggression or personality issues I would try what I said above. Will you train the dog to be an inside dog? It’s never too late to teach potty training. Why can’t you put him in the car? What does he do? So he has only been to the vet trwice in his life? How old is he? Could you take him home with you to crate train and potty train him?

Is anyone else sick of reading people say HELP my animal is sick and can’t take them to the vet?
Seriously people if you can not afford the responsibilities of owning a animal you should have never got one. I get that vet bills can get very expensive and isn’t always the easiest thing to fork out money for but if you are saying your dog or any other animal is throwing up blood or just got hit by a car but you can’t afford to take your dog to the vet. You should take it somewhere give up your rights as a owner and let the dog be treated for. If you just let the animal get worse you are just putting the animal through more pain then it should have to deal with by bad owners. I personally would do anything or start selling things I own if I didn’t have the money to make sure my dogs are healthy and not dieing or going through pain. Seriously people need to get it drilled in there head that animals do cost money. There is more responsibility then just feeding it.
Sorry I am venting about it but it just breaks my heart that animals get stuck with horrible owners but yet have the money to pay for the internet they are using to ask the questions on yahoo

Bauser answers:
I feel the same way. But if an animal get hit by a car, then you have to take them to a vert! I have 2 kittens that have eye infections because they were stays, and the cost us over $2,000 and now we spent all the money in the special bank account for the vets, adn my ferrets have a kittle bit of a upper respitory infection, and i cant take them to the vet. So things do happen, but if there is an emgergency, then I would always make payments!
MY dog got hit by a car, and we spent $41,000 to save her life! No joke! But when things pop up, like loosing your job, or whatever, adn you dont have the money at the time, I would understand that too.
